Center for Entrepreneurial Studies
The Hampton University Business
Assistance Center (HU-BAC) supports the Hampton University
School of Business and its Center for Entrepreneurial Studies
(CES). The Center is an outgrowth and programmatic extension
of several successful entrepreneurial ventures designed to
encourage prospective small business owners, especially minorities,
with the skills needed for them to flourish and compete domestically
and internationally. CES affords the University the opportunity
to continue to its position as a leader and authority in the
areas of entrepreneurship, and related ventures.
The Center has five major objectives:
- Increase the quantity and quality of minority
entrepreneurs.
- Improve the ownership/investor share of capital resources
for minority populations.

experience.
- Provide educational programming such as workshops, seminars,
and internships, along with providing technical assistance
to minority individuals, organizations, and colleges and
universities desirous of acquiring entrepreneurial expertise.
- Develop and phase in an Entrepreneurial major in the
School of Business at Hampton University.
In order to carry out these objectives,
