The Hampton University campus, centrally located between Virginia Beach and historic Williamsburg, is on one of the most beautiful waterfront sights in the nation. Situated on the Virginia Peninsula and surrounded on three sides by water, Hampton offers an environment for living and learning that is picturesque and peaceful, yet stimulating and exciting.
Hampton University is located in the Tidewater area of Virginia at exit 267 on I-64.
(Eastbound I-64) Take I-64 to the Settlers Landing Road exit and go straight through the light onto Tyler Road.
(Westbound I-64) Take the Woodland Road/Downtown Hampton exit and turn left at the next light onto Tyler street.
Use the Tyler street entrance to enter the main campus.

Norfolk International Airport is 30 minutes away from campus, and the Newport News/Williamsburg Airport is 20 minutes away.
You can reach Hampton University by airline from either the Norfolk International Airport or the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.
The city of Hampton is the oldest continuous English-speaking community in the United States. Our city is a center for east coast conventions, tourism, Bay Day activities and the Hampton Jazz Festival.
In addition to its historic and regional attractions, the city of Hampton also has public beaches, museums, shopping, golf courses, tennis courts, and restaurants.
