"Training for the Future
Today"
Aviation Maintenance Technology
Aviation maintenance is a dynamic career field with endless
opportunities. Individuals involved in aviation maintenance
have the very important responsibility of keeping aircraft
operating safely and efficiently to ensure the safety of
the flying public. We, at the Aeroscience Center are committed
to meeting the needs of both the Aviation Maintenance Industry
and the Individual student in today’s changing society.
Unlike other FAA-certified Airframe & Power Plant schools
across the country, this school is specifically oriented
to meet the needs of commercial air carriers. Our innovative
two-year program will provide you with the necessary training
and instruction to obtain an Associate of Science Degree
in Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) from the university
and an Airframe and Power Plant (“A&P”) certificate
from the Federal Aviation Administration. Graduates of our
program will be prepared to join an airline as a productive
maintenance technician, without the significant additional
training expense that must be invested in graduates of traditional
schools.
In addition, the University, which is the parent institution,
includes Hampton Institute and the Undergraduate College,
a Graduate College, and the College of Continuing Education.
Hampton offers 47 Baccalaureate degrees, Master degrees in
16 areas of study, and is Virginia’s only co-educational,
non-denominational four-year private college.
