The Division of Continuing Studies offers non-credit courses
for personal enrichment online and in the classroom. Non-credit
courses cannot be used as a substitute for academic credit or
applied towards a degree program.
"One Continuing Education C.E.U. is ten (10) contact hours
of participation in an organized continuing education experience
under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified
instruction." Partial C.E.U.'s may be awarded utilizing
the decimal nature of the system of measurement, i.e., 3.5 C.E.U.'s
may be awarded for 35 hours of continuing education activities.
In cooperation with the Virginia Beach Health Department, the Division of Continuing Studies is offering courses in Food Service Manager Certification, Food Service Manager Recertification, and Chinese in the English Language.
