DIVISION OF CONTINUING STUDIES
FALL REGISTRATION DATES:
- Spring III: November 17 - December 19, 2008
- Spring IV : February 23 - March 13, 2009
ITEMS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION:
- Registration Fee of $10.00
- Application Fee of $35.00 to accompany application (new students only)
- If applicable, an authorized military Tuition Assistance Form
- Clearance through the Continuing Education VA representative if utilizing VA Education Benefits
ACADEMIC ADVISING: All students must consult with their Advisor prior to the end of registration to obtain course approval and registration pin numbers prior to proceeding to HUNET (online registration system.) Students should be aware of the courses they must register for prior to consulting with their Advisors.
REGISTRATION:
During the official registration period, the registration hours are as follows:
Hampton Harbor, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
Aeroscience Center, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
Langley Air Force Base, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday
Roanoke Branch, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday
Students must register both on paper using the course registration form and online using the (HuNET Registration System)
- Consult Advisor regarding course registration.
- After consultation, student should complete a course registration form and submit to Advisor for signature.
Note: Distance students can send course registration form to Distance Education Coordinator by fax (757-727-5949) or scan document and email to drusilla.pair@hamptonu.edu.
- Upon approval of course selections, Advisor will sign form and issue student personal and registration pin numbers.
- Student will use pin numbers to log into HUNET computer system and register for courses. Registration in the HUNET computer system puts student’s name on class roster. Failure to register in HUNET means that student’s name is not on the official class roster. This may result in payment of a $50 verification registration fee and no final grade given for course.
LATE REGISTRATION
Any student who fails to complete registration during the designated dates prior to each term will be charged a $25.00 late registration fee in addition to the $10.00 regular registration fee. This policy does not apply to those students registering for the first time. time.
ADD / DROP / WITHDRAWAL
Courses may be added or dropped during the ADD/DROP period, which occurs during the first week of classes for each session. A full refund will be given only if a completed Add/Drop Form is submitted prior to 12:00 p.m. on the sixth (6th) day of the session. A STUDENT MUST COMPLETE A PAPER ADD/DROP FORM AND ALSO CHANGE COURSE SCHEDULE ONLINE USING THE HUNET Registration System .
A student may withdraw from a course after the Add/Drop Period but before the Final Examination Week. Tuition will NOT be refunded for a withdrawal. The student is responsible for obtaining all the required signatures on the Withdrawal Form and returning the form to the College of Continuing Education Registrar.
