Student Achievement Profile Exit Requirements

Freshmen entering the department receive from the Chairman a guide for developing a professional portfolio. The student will develop this portfolio during classwork.

Internship

Upon completion of all course requirements Sport Management majors are required to enroll in and complete a 10 week 400 hour internship at an approved site. This internship is designed for the student to have concentrated exposure to a selected aspect of Sport Management. The internship is the last course experience of the students program. The departmental advisor must approve internship sites before the student begins the internship.


The Sports Management majors

Have completed internships with the U.S. Olympic Training Center, NFL and NBA teams as well as local professional teams.


This program prepares students for the business aspects of sports.
Graduates seek employment opportunities in areas such as:
