Ronald Williams is a married father of three children Ron Quarrie; Kira Nicole; and Aeron Xavier. He is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. Ron holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Virginia Union University and a Master of Social Work (M.S.W) degree from Norfolk State University. He also has a school social work certification, from the Virginia Department of education. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in industrial organizational psychology. Ronald is a certified martial arts instructor who holds the rank of fifth Dan in Moo Duk Kwan, Tae Kwon Do. He is a certified crisis intervention instructor and a ropes initiatives instructor. Ron Williams has worked with youth in various capacities for the last 28 eight years. In 1986 he founded the Wolfpack Coaches Association whose members continue to work in the community to this day and whose teams have won 34 division and city championships since that time. He has been a football, basketball and track coach, and a past president of The Aragona Recreation League Inc. In 1987 he founded the Phoenix Foundation, a non-profit youth services and training organization which has developed programs, facilitated training and youth services for a wide variety of public services agencies and systems. Ron Williams began employment with First Hospital Corporation in June of 1990. As a unit manager, he developed unit programs for aggressive sexual offenders. Mr. Williams went on to develop Phoenix tactical team training, which was a multilevel program to train all direct care staff in the management of aggressive behavior. Later, Ron went on to become a child and family therapist and a project coordinator with the Barry Robinson Treatment for children. He began service at Hampton University as adjunct faculty in 1999 and presently serves the department of psychology as an assistant professor. |
