The Hampton University Chemistry Club is an organization whose objectives are to:
- Promote an interest in the field of chemistry and stimulate scientific curiosity in general
- Provide assistance in the field of chemistry and encourage an atmosphere to exchange thoughts and ideas
- Promote the distribution of chemical knowledge through seminars and visiting lecturers.
- Make available to the members details of the numerous job opportunities open in the field of chemistry
- Promote the importance of chemistry and the physical sciences in everyday life
The Hampton University Chemistry Club is a student affiliate of the American Chemical Society.
Meetings are the first Monday of each month in TU 140 at 6:30 pm.
Membership is open to:
- Chemistry Majors
- Chemical Engineers
- Students Interested in the Field of Chemistry
Active members are dues payers and are expected to participate regularly in the club's activites and events.
Annual Dues Deadline:
- Local Chemistry Club - No Deadline
- American Chemical Society Affiliation (ACS) - December

Board Decorations |
Decorates the bulletin board using pictures from events and activities. Includes general body meeting minutes and announcements. Features winners from various awards |
Photography |
Photographs for each event and yearbook (optional). Develops scrapbook annually. |
Community Service |
Plans, executes activities within the School of Science and community. Develops tutorial program within Chemistry department. |
Fundraising |
Plans, executes fundraisers to increase treasury (activities support club outings, scholarships, and overall upliftment of the Chemistry Club). |
Chemistry Club Activities |
Plans, activities designed to increase club interaction (i.e.-mixers, department dinner, cook-out, National Chemistry Week). In charge of designing t-shirt. Develops web page. |
Publicity |
Makes sure all events and activities are well publicized in advance. |
Homecoming Week |
Plans activities for Homecoming week (i.e..- Coronation participation, float, bazaar) |
