The undergraduate program leads to a degree of Bachelor
of Science in Chemistry. While courses have been designed
to meet the accreditation standards of the American
Chemical Society (ACS), they also allow students
to develop a strong background in science. The Department's
objective is to prepare students for advanced degrees
in Chemistry, as well as other science and health
fields.

Undergraduate Information

In order to successfully complete the undergraduate program,
the student must complete:
- 47-48 credit hours in chemistry - All
courses passed with a grade of "C" or better
- 46 credit hours in related course areas (mathematics,
biology, physics and computer science)
- All of which must be passed
with at least a "C"
- 46-47 credit hours of General Education Requirements
- As designated by the University
To receive
the American Chemical Society Certification, the student must complete:
- Core chemistry courses
- Mathematics up to differential equations
- Two advanced level electives
- Two advanced chemistry courses
