ROSALIND E. EXUM ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND ESTABLISHED
The Mathematics Department recently established the Rosalind E. Exum Endowed Scholarship Fund in honor of Mrs. Rosalind E. Exum, who retired in May 2000 after serving the Mathematics Department at Hampton University for over fifty-three years. Once the fund reaches the sum of at least $25,000.00, scholarships will be awarded annually to deserving junior or senior mathematics majors. The Board of Trustees recently changed the policy to indicate that a scholarship can begin at $10,000.00. However the scholarship shall be paid out when the principal amount reaches $25,000.00.
To date, contributions total approximately $16,000. We need an additional $9,000 to reach our goal so that support can start going to our students. We solicit your financial support for this scholarship and for recognizing the outstanding service of Mrs. Exum.
