A broad spectrum of research and educational opportunities are available
to students both on and off campus. All qualified students are invited
to participate in various programs, which include:
- Student Enhancement in Mathematics and Science (SEMS) programs funded by the U.S. Navy
- Alliance for Minority Participation in Science and Engineering (AMPS)
- Alliance for Minority Participation - Summer Workshops for Upper Class Students
- Summer Mathematics Enrichment (Pre-College) Program
- Mathematics Department Center for Fusion Energy Research and Training
Most of these programs provide financial support for students with high academic
standings. Some of these students serve as tutors and research assistants.
Please contact the Mathematics Office at (757)727-5352 for more
