Research Interest:

A hypernucleus formed by one or more nucleons (proton or neutron) being replaced by hyperon (L, S, or X) is a rich laboratory to study the hyperon-nucleon interactions.  It is important to understand such interactions to construct a unified theory which describes the fundamental baryonic interactions that built the matter of universe.  The hyperon - L is used also as a powerful probe which does not suffer Pauli Blocking to study the nuclear interior.

At JLAB, we are using the continued wave electron beam to produce L-hypernuclei and study the high precision spectroscopy which gives the information about L-nucleus and L-nucleon interactions.  The program has the best energy resolution on the reactional mass spectroscopy and accurate binding energy determination.  The experimental technique and the equipment allow us to study from light to heavy hypernuclei.
