Diana Williams joined the Physical Therapy faculty as an Adjunct Professor in the fall of 2009. She is the primary instructor for Neurobiology and also assists with Anatomy. Dr. Williams received a Ph.D. in Anatomical Sciences with a research emphasis in the field of Developmental Neurobiology and completed two postdoctoral fellowships in the field of neuroscience. Dr. Williams has been teaching undergraduate and graduate students for at least 13 years with her most recent position teaching Neuroscience in the Physical Therapy Department at Old Dominion University.

Research Interests

Although Dr. Williams is not currently engaged in research, previous interests include developmental plasticity of neuronal connections in the visual system and molecular mechanisms associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
