A
Music Enrichment Program for youth which
provides students an opportunity to spend
five weeks in the study and enjoyment of
music.
Students will study fundamentals of Music
(computer assisted) and receive lessons on
instruments including piano, strings, percussion, guitar,
woodwinds, brass, recorder and voice. In
addition, older students may enroll in Introduction
to Audio Recording. Classes will be taught
by Department of Music faculty and will be
held on the campus of Hampton University.
The culminating activity will be a student
recital on the evening prior to the ending
of the program.
Cost: $300 per student ($55 weekly)
Includes lessons, use of pianos and audio equipment, plus light snack. Additional
fees are for rental of instruments through area music stores, and optional
cultural events. All classes are limited and will be restricted to a first
come, first served basis.
