Since its establishment in 1992, by Hampton University's President, Dr. William R. Harvey, JET Corps administrators have worked diligently with educators, business leaders and the community at-large and reinforced values that uplifted the educational, training and employment needs of our community's most valuable asset -our youth.

JET Corp's unique partnership with the cities, schools and university officials can be replicated throughout the country. Over 1,000 youth, ages 14 - 17 from the cites of Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, James City County, Portsmouth and Norfolk, Virginia, have participated in an intense twelve-month curriculum that places great emphasis on the enhancement of a strong work ethic, education, discipline, spirituality, goal setting and character. The 2009 summer program will include the cities of Hampton and Newport News only.
