NHAA - Charlotte Chapter
  Charlotte Chapter
Hello and Welcome Current and Future Hamptonians!

“Oh, Hampton, we never can make thee a song, except as our lives do the singing. In service that will thy great spirit prolong, and send it through centuries ringing!”

As President of the Charlotte chapter, I like to think of myself as the choir director and the other officers and committee chairpersons as section leaders. There is also a special group of people who, although not listed by name, make up a very important part of the chorus--- YOU! Without you, there is no melody. But with you, there are solos and chorus lines, unison and harmony, improvisation and creativity. The Charlotte community is our audience; and with you, the work of our alumni chapter has the ability to reach a prominent crescendo followed by resounding applause.

The chapter needs your perspective and energy to foster and build our “Home by the Sea.” Choir rehearsals (chapter meetings) are held on the 4th Saturday of the month. Please see the Chapter Events page for an annual meeting schedule and other important upcoming events. Unlike most choirs, you won’t be kicked out for nonpayment of dues; and unlike most churches, the university does not expect a 10% tithe! But chapter dues ($35) along with a university contribution are your “just and reasonable service.”

If you’ve been a choir member for many years, keep singing! We need your guiding pitch. If you’re relatively new to Charlotte or have been away from the fold, join us! Together, we can make beautiful music and give life to the words of our Alma Mater!

Hampton Hugs!
