Our Mission

The Detroit Chapter of the NHAA, Inc. is organized to support and promote the goals and objectives of Hampton University and the National Hampton Alumni Association. Our mission is to foster growth through student and alumni recruitment, increase alumni giving and provide scholarships to deserving students from Michigan enrolled in Hampton University.

Our Purpose

The purpose of our Alumni Chapter is to sponsor events which present members the opportunity to network and socialize while continuing to pledge support of our alma mater. We invite sponsorship of student groups, e.g., Concert Choir, Football and Basketball teams. We promote the University through participation in College Fairs, community events, give guidance to student and parent groups, and serve as a focal point for addressing member concerns relating to the Alumni office and University.
