This has been another exciting year for our Chapter! We hosted the 67th Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in Silver Spring, MD (our first). In an effort to be more visible in our overall community, we participated in the Christmas in April project by helping a family in need make their home livable and safe. What a rewarding experience! Plans are
now underway to continue this service project in spring 2010.
Many thanks to Hampton alumni and friends for your over-whelming support of our inaugural “Pirates of Hampton Roads Calendar,” one of several projects the Montgomery County, MD Chapter sponsored to support our efforts on behalf of Hampton University. Because of your response, we proudly present the 2009-2010 edition which you can now purchase online!
We are proud to announce that you can now renew your membership, pay for event tickets and make other Chapter-related purchases by credit card online! Just follow the directions on the application form or ticket flyer. One more way MCMD Chapter is makes it easy for local alumni to stay active and involved. Your continued support is crucial if we are to continue to grow. Support us by:

- Become and remain paid members – This is the principal way to support our Chapter, so the Chapter can in turn support Hampton University, current and future alumni.
- Attend meetings - The majority of chapter business is conducted during meetings that conclude within an hour. Come share your interests and concerns with other alumni so the leadership can plan accordingly. Refer to the Meeting Schedule for the dates and times.
- Become an officer or serve on a committee - The Chapter needs your experience, enthusiasm and active participation.
- Support Chapter programs and activities – Become involved in decisions about what we do and we’re sure to provide activities you can support.
There is much more that we can do! Join us at the next meeting. If you are unable to attend, mail in your membership form and fee today. With your continued commitment, our potential to serve is truly unlimited!
