Second to none! If only there were enough words (and trust me there are not) to describe the hard work, commitment and dedication displayed by your leadership teams...!
Consider the blessings bestowed on our chapter their leadership. MCMD Chapter was honored in 2007, 2008 and 2010 with NHAA President's Award in
recognition of outstanding service to the national association and to Hampton University. Over $12,000 has been raised to provide scholarships to continuing students at our Alma Mater from our area. The Chapter also continues to strive to be more than an exemplary alumni organization by reaching out to support our neighbors through member participation in programs like "Christmas in July" that rehabilitates the homes of long-time
community residents. Find out more about Chapter accomplishments over the last nine years in our new brochure (refer to the Documents page).
In part to honor their work and fortitude, the chapter produced a brochure recounting our progress over the last eight years. The "We are MCMD Chapter NHAA ..." brochure (in the Documents section) is intended not just to recount the past, but to put forth one vision of what more we can accomplish together. Help make this evolving vision a reality by:
2008 NHAA
President's Award
- Become and remain paid members - This is the principal way to support our Chapter, so the Chapter can in turn support Hampton University, current and future alumni.
- Attend meetings - The majority of chapter business is conducted during meetings that conclude within an hour. Come share your interests and concerns with other alumni so the leadership can plan accordingly. Refer to the Meeting Schedule for the dates and times.
- Become an officer or serve on a committee - The Chapter needs your experience, enthusiasm and active participation.
- Support Chapter programs and activities - Become involved in decisions about what we do and we're sure to provide activities you can support.
Join us for our September reception, short meetings and events over the coming months. With your continued commitment, our potential to serve is truly unlimited!
In the Hampton Spirit,
