Hey Everybody! Give Me Five…!

Last year I asked that "Each One Reach One" - Basically asking everyone to reach out to other alumni in the area and bring them to our chapter meetings as well as other chapter events. This year I am asking everyone to "Give Me Five…"

Five minutes of your time to tell you about the chapter, at least $5 towards alumni giving, and five names of fellow Hamptonians you would like to join the chapter.

Our chapter’s success depends on your participation and support. 

I thought the theme of “Give Me Five” would allow us to keep in mind that it does not always require a lot of effort to reach our goals. Just five minutes of your time, five dollars from your wallet and five names can make a huge difference to our chapter’s success.

Last year…

• We won Chapter of the year!
• We gave $10,000 in scholarships to new and returning students attending Hampton University
• Over 100 high school seniors in the NOVA area were accepted to Hampton's 2005 Freshman Class
• We hosted two theatre events at Arena Stage (The Piano Lesson and Hallelujah, Baby!)
• We hosted our First Annual Tailgate Cookout at Homecoming
• We hosted two networking socials (Toka Lounge and a Holiday Social at the Nicken's home)

We expect a stellar 2005-2006 year!  We hope you will put our upcoming activities on your personal calendar.  We are excited about the activities we have planned this year and look forward to seeing you…
