NHAA, Inc. becomes premier by:

My vision is that we will have at least two thirds of Alumni that have graduated from Hampton involved not only in giving, but involved in working with the Alumni Association and Hampton University. There are so many programs available for Alumni to become involved in such as: Mentoring, Alumni Giving, Endowed Scholarships, Parent’s Clubs, Recruitment, Chapter Development, Member Advantage Program, help reactivate chapters, form new chapters, etc. We must remember that it is important for us to take the initiative to implement plans and see them through. This is the only way that we will become successful. It begins with us. I am presently working very hard to ensure that these things are being done, and I will continue to work hard for Hampton. I believe that we must say at this point in our lives, ask not what Hampton can do for us, but what can we do for Hampton to ensure that our “Home By The Sea” will remain a viable institution of higher learning. I will continue to implement the plans and goals that have been set by the NHAA, Inc. I will also ensure that we continue to have a state of the art newsletter and up to date communication via the web-site. I will encourage alumni to give to their alma mater and to continue to nominate and make us aware of alumni who deserve to be recognized on the national level for their accomplishments. All of us who are a part of the “Pirate Nation” can show our “Pirate Pride” by working together and making our “Home By The Sea” and the Alumni Association second to none.

I plan to use my experience on the chapter and regional levels to support the board in achieving these specific goals in conjunction with the goals of the National President.
What excites me most about NHAA, Inc. is the feeling that it is on the verge of explosive growth. The NHAA, Inc. is embracing technology on a greater scale and including young alumni in various leadership roles on the chapter and regional levels.
I envision my role on the board as a contributing member, offering creative solutions as well as capturing and maintaining accurate records.
