Journalism and Communications for the 21st Century

These are exciting times for us. The journalism and communications program was founded in 1967 as the Department of Mass Media Arts. Today, we are building on our history with a program tailored for the challenges of the 21st Century. Among the highlights:

Our new home, the Scripps Howard Center.
Our vision: A top-10 journalism-communications program.
A $10-million, 10-year commitment from the Scripps Howard Foundation.
A partnership with the National Association of Black Journalists.
