Dr. Curtis Holsopple
Dr. Curtis Holsopple is an assistant professor teaching a variety of courses in print and electronic journalism, particularly the computer-related skills needed in those fields.
He
earned a master of arts degree in education in 1985 from Ball State University
in Indiana. He earned a second master of arts degree in journalism in
1995 from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Va., where he was voted the
outstanding graduate in the school of journalism for that year. He has
just recently finished his doctorate in communication, also from Regent
University.
He has published two books, "Skills for Radio Broadcasters" and "The Handbook of Radio Publicity and Promotion." He revised a third book, "Radio Announcing," the homestudy curriculum used by Columbia School of Broadcasting based in metropolitan Washington, D.C., and he wrote a chapter on computers and journalism for "Mass Media in 2025: Industries, Organizations, People and Nations," published (Greenwood Press) in 2002.
He has written many magazine articles relating to electronic communication.
Before his teaching career, Dr. Holsopple had extensive experience in
public relations, publishing and broadcasting.
