Robert Grau is the chief of technical engineering for Hampton University. He maintains the equipment for the Department of Mass Media Arts and WHOV-FM, the campus radio station.

He works with the department chair to select state-of-the-art equipment to keep students competitive in broadcast journalism. He also works with the department's student newscast.

Grau has worked in broadcasting for 24 years and came to Hampton University from CBS Television in New York where he was the manager for RF Systems.
