Sean Lyons joined the faculty in 2002 as an assistant professor of journalism.

He previously worked as a staff reporter for The Boston Globe, The Waterbury (Conn.) Republican-American, the Palm Beach Post and The Providence Journal.

He has won numerous national awards for his reporting, including a Society of Professional Journalists national public service medal and the Livingston Award.

He is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism
and Boston University.
