Orchestra

The Orchestra program offers experience in playing and performing a wide range of music. Literature is selected from the Renaissance through the Contemporary eras. Soloists from within as well as outside the orchestra membership will occasionally perform with the orchestra.

The University Chamber Orchestra is a major ensemble, which is open to all members of the college and surrounding communities. It serves as a laboratory for music majors, and as a resource for all persons with some talent in playing a string instrument. A limited number of wind and percussion players may also audition for membership. One academic credit.

String Quartet

The Hampton University String Quartet is highlighted for its uniqueness. It has provided students with both an academic and educational experience.
