Dr. Scott received a BS in zoology and an MS in psychology from Howard University. She received her PhD in cognitive psychology from the University of California, Riverside. She joined the Hampton University faculty in 1997, after teaching and serving as an administrator at a variety of other colleges and universities around the country. Dr. Scott teaches several courses in cognitive psychology, Black psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, and research methods. Her research interests are varied including cognitive and cultural issues in creativity, in rehabilitation, and in work settings. The "Knowledge" chapter in the two-volume set, The Encyclopedia of Creativity (Pritzer and Runco, 1999) is drawn from her dissertation research. Dr. Scott enjoys traveling, theater, music, and her pets. |
