Small Grant Programs
- NIMH
Small Grants (R03) Program. The National Institute of
Mental Health (NIMH) small grants (R03) program provides
research support of up to $50,000 per year (direct costs)
for up to two years for new research projects relevant to
the mission of the NIMH. The NIMH Small Grants Program is
related to the priority areas of mental health and mental
disorders.
- NIDR Small Grant
Program - NIH. Small Grants provide limited research
support for activities such as pilot projects, testing of
new techniques, and feasibility studies of innovative and
high risk research, which would provide the basis for
more extended research. The primary goal of the NIDR
Small Grant Program is to provide career development
opportunities for new and minority investigators that
will enable them to compete successfully for research
support as independent investigators. Submission Date:
April 3, August 3, December 3. Average Award: $50,000
- The ARC of the United States (a national organization
on mental retardation)
-- Research
Grants Program in Mental Retardation. The Arc has
identified several areas of special interest for its
grant program: enhancing opportunities for people with
mental retardation to live, learn, work and play in their
communities; and prevention of mental retardation with a
particular interest in FAS prevention. The Arc is
particularly interested in applications which address
research issues relevant to members of traditionally
underrepresented groups, such as members of racial or
ethnic minorities, women, and the elderly. The ARC awards
up to $25,000 per grant.
- The International Dyslexia Association
Grant
Program is designed to provide up to $5,000.00 for
one year for new or ongoing educational, medical, and
cognitive science research projects.
- The Council for Exceptional Children--Foundation for
Exceptional Children
Minigrant
Awards Application Guidelines. The Foundation awards
$500 grants for pilot research.
