Contact with Funding Agencies
Once a grant has been awarded, principal investigators may not contact funding agencies on matters pertaining to budgets. However, PIs are encouraged to contact the Program Officer regarding other issues related to the grant as appropriate. This is necessary to protect the integrity of the University's fiscal procedures and to ensure that requests for budgetary revisions do not unfavorably impact the University.
