Accident, Disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberment

Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company offers supplemental insurance for employees while at their worksite.  In partnership with Hampton University, this company mainly provides disability, accidental death and dismemberment benefits.  Colonial Life provides the following benefits:

Benefits for covered injuries
Burns, Lacerations, Injuries requiring surgery, Complete fractures, and Complete dislocations

Death Benefits

• Accidental death, Accidental death caused by car accidents, Accidental death while traveling
  
• Death which occurs while you are paying a fare and riding anywhere in the world on a plan, train, boat or ship

Dismemberment Benefits

Loss of finger/toe
Loss of hand/foot or sight of an eye
Single Loss or Double Loss

Medical benefits while hospitalized

Benefits for services
Ambulance
Appliances

Supplemental Short-Term Disability
Forty ( 40%) of salary with seven day elimination period.
