The Assistant Provost for Technology supervises the personnel within the Center for Information Technology. This area is comprised of the following six units: The Academic Technology Mall Helpdesk, Media Production, Web Services, Network Management, Data Conversion and Management, and Education Delivery Specialists. The Assistant Provost for Technology reports directly to the Provost and works closely with the Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer. He/she is chiefly responsible for determining the University’s technological plan, while maintaining and enhancing the technology infrastructure. This individual has clearance authority for purchasing technological equipment, approving grants with a technological component, and approving University-sponsored technology workshops.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Provost for Technology is required to serve on two standing academic committees and two standing administrative councils. Other committee appointments may be made at the discretion of the University President or Provost.
