The receptionist is to receive all customers, students, faculty, staff members and answer telephone calls while providing excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
The receptionist is responsible for maintaining and managing the phone system; greeting and assisting the students, staff, instructors, public and vendors in a professional manner while manning the front desk. They also assist with receiving and issuing of various forms to be processed; date stamped in before routing to appropriate staff; replenish all forms ensuring we are well stocked; print schedules for students; receive, process and make copies of transcripts; verify summer internship enrollment and initial off on forms for completion, and verify students current enrollment and degree status. The receptionist will receive and process incoming campus mail. He/She will record and track all money orders or cashier's checks and send money amounts to the Treasurer’s Office daily. The receptionist will also be responsible for receiving and processing all Change of Address requests, and any other related tasks as assigned.
The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, communication and customer services skills. The applicant must be knowledgeable of various Microsoft Office and other database applications. The successful candidate must be punctual, a self starter and able to work well independently and with others. The candidate must be professional at all times with excellent time management and organizational skills.
