Description
The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is seeking to fill the position of Title IV Compliance Officer. Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Aid, this position is responsible for the University’s financial aid program while maintaining all federal, state and college regulations, policies and procedures. The candidate must be proficient in the following: financial aid programs, compliance issues, and managerial and policy formulation. The candidate must have excellent written, verbal and organizational skills, as well as the creative ability to analyze and interpret rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with the Code of Federal Student Aid Regulations.
Revise policies and procedures to accommodate changes in federal and state regulations, as well as institutional policies and ensure that established procedures are followed.
Review financial aid verification files to ensure program compliance.
Manage the Title IV Default Management Plan.
Handle escalated issues related to program compliance with higher education agencies and third party advocates.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in a related field.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years experience in a higher education setting.
Previous work experience as a program compliance coordinator or financial aid counselor –highly preferred.
Some supervisory experience or management experience preferred.
An understanding of Sun Garde Banner software is preferred.
