The Hampton University Leadership Academy (HULA) team is seeking to fill one Program Manager position. The Program Manager will devote 100% level of effort for the duration of the funding period (24 months) of the HU School Leadership Program grant project. Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Manager will assist in the administration of the HULA project in collaboration with the Principle Investigators and Project Director. The candidate is expected to work with groups of faculty, consultants, and the university business office. The candidate will be responsible for procurement and travel arrangements. Further, the candidate will serve as budget officer and as such will manage funds to ensure that the project remains within budget.
A preferred candidate must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. He/she will be self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be able to work on a leadership team and adapt to a flexible work schedule. The candidate must be computer savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be detail oriented and to have strong organizational skills. Previous managerial/administrative work experience in an academic setting is desired.
