Description

Responsible to the Director of the Career Counseling and Planning Center, the Recruiter develops, coordinates and evaluates all functions of recruitment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and scheduling on-campus recruiting for employers via the on-line eRecruiting Program; explains and provides the instructions to the e-Recruiting system to students, alumni and employers; registers students on-line for interviewing and provides access codes to students and employers for on-line processing. The Recruiter creates and publishes monthly schedules to list employers conducting on­ -campus interviews, information sessions and special events; monitors on-line registration system for career fairs and Graduate and Professional Day; prepares profile booklets for the career fairs and Graduate and Professional Day; faxes documents as needed to confirm recruiting schedules; posts information sessions on bulletin boards and on the student email system; prepares required annual reports for the recruiting department; maintains files on employers and graduate schools; processes registration fees for submission to the Office of Business Affairs and Treasurer.  The Recruiter maintains a collaborative relationship with deans, department chairs and faculty as a resource for recommendations of students for jobs and internships.  The Recruiter schedules daily student career counseling, critiques student and alumni resumes and manages the office in the absence of the Director and Assistant Director. The Recruiter will also provide clerical support for the front office as needed.

Requirements

The candidate will have minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in career services or student affairs.  The candidate will have excellent communication, computer and interpersonal skills; must demonstrate a level of maturity; have an outstanding work ethic; strong interpersonal skills; and possess the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, administrators, and business/ industry representatives.
