Description

The Admission Counselor is responsible for attracting and recruiting new students to the University by making presentations on the strengths and attributes of the University.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively throughout assigned territory to meet with prospective students, parents, and counselors and promote the strengths and attributes of the University.

  • Meet with prospective students and parents and communicate the strengths of the University in an effort to attract the best and brightest.

  • Review applications and make recommendations for admission to the Dean of Admission based upon submitted credentials in relationship to the mission and goals of the University.

  • Provide administrative support for all campus visitation programs to include Open Houses, daily tours, and special weekend visitation programs.

  • Assist in all efforts pertinent to the successful operation of the Admission Office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Ability to travel to various regions for extended periods

  • Experience working in a college/university Admission Office is highly desired

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology as it relates to social media.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, oral, and written skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology as it relates to social media.
