Description

The Audio Visual Technician’s duties are to support the multimedia needs of the entire University.  This includes lectures, athletics, special events and other miscellaneous activities or special occasions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and install equipment such as microphones, speakers, video projection screens and LCD projectors

  • Will act as on site technician for events such as seminars, lectures, concerts, ceremonial occasions, athletic events, meetings, conventions and presentations

  • Working knowledge of video production and be able to operate video cameras

  • Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely accurate fashion, and provide end-user training as required

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Must maintain inventory of audio/video equipment and follow preventive maintenance procedures

  • Will also assist in scheduling and tracking the location of all equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • Minimum two years audio visual work experience

  • Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

  • Proficient in using the Adobe editing Suite

  • Experience with using HD cameras; setup of projectors, laptops, microphones, sound boards and speakers
