Program Manager
Minority Men's Health Initiative (MMHI)

The Program Manager works with the Co-Principal Investigators to meet the goals established for the Administrative Core of the MMHI and to provide administrative support to all components of the MMHI.  The Program Manager reports directly to the MMHI Project Director. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial information regarding the MMHI budget

  • Managing the day to day operations of MMHI

  • Plan and organize various MMHI activities such as Consortium Steering Committee Meetings, Research retreats

  • Preparation of meeting agendas and meeting notes

  • Assist in the planning of research, training, education and outreach activities

  • Assist in the preparation of annual reports to NIMHD

  • Other duties as may be assigned by MMHI Project Director and/or Co-Principal Investigator



  • Minimum of Masters degree in biomedical, health, behavioral, or social science field

  • Prior experience in management of biomedical research projects

  • Prior experience in management of NIH-funded grant(s) or other federal grants

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational and technical skills

  • Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy and initiative when working with others

  • Experience with variety of web-based videoconferencing platforms

  • Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to manage relationships among diverse scientific and administrative partners from different types of sectors
