Description

The Night Monitor will monitor the dormitory related activities and control the flow of traffic at the Holly Tree Complex Inn.  In addition, he or she will be responsible for the smooth operation of the Holly Tree Complex Inn Complex where the students are housed and care for any emergencies that may arise during the evening shift.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor students & visitors.

  • Address any concerns that may arise during the evening hours at the Holly Tree Complex.

  • Assure compliance of rules and regulations.

  • Render assistance as needed for lost keys or “lock-outs”, illnesses, urgent repair requirements, etc.

  • Answer telephone, take messages, and provide information to parents or other authorized persons, and follow-up with return phone calls as needed.

  • Fill in when needed (on day shift) as required and in the absence of the Manager; including supervision of the housekeeping operations, coordinating operations for providing clean, safe, and comfortable guest and dormitory facilities.

  • Monitor dormitory-related activities of the students at the Holly Tree Complex.

  • Perform general office duties such as maintaining office files and records, writing reports for repairs and dormitory-related incidents.

  • Assist students with late pick-up mail requirements (issue packages and special mail notices).

  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills required.

Qualifications

  • Experience and/or knowledge in monitoring dormitory related activities, and maintain a safe, comfortable, and clean environment for the Guest and Dormitory facilities.

  • Knowledge of University policy and procedure.

  • Some experience with general office procedures.
