Description

The Assistant Director Facilities/Equipment Operations is responsible for inventory control, maintenance and preparation of the Athletic Fields, coordinate and direct set-up for events, and supervises student workers and volunteers.  The Assistant Director Facilities/Equipment Operations reports to the Director of Facilities and Equipment Operations. Provide equipment Support to athletes, students, coaches and instructors so they may participate in Athletics and Class activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proper care and storage Athletic and Physical Education Equipment
  • Responsible for issuing and retrieving equipment
  • Assist with inventory control
  • Assist with preparation of orders for equipment
  • Supervise laundry services
  • Assist with maintenance and preparation Athletic Fields
  • Coordinate and direct set-up for events
  • Supervise student workers and volunteers
  • And other job related duties assigned by Director of facilities and Equipment Operations

Requirements

  • Collegiate or comparable experience with responsibility as a Equipment  Manage or Facility Manager (3 years) required

  • Written and oral communications skills

  • Computer knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge and experience in operations field maintenance equipment

  • Valid Virginia driver’s license

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field
