The Hampton University Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders invites nominations and applications for Clinical Instructor of Speech-Language Pathology, at the rank of instructor beginning on September 1, 2018.   

Founded in 1868, Hampton University is a leading historically black university (HBCU) located on the Virginia Peninsula in Hampton.  It is a privately endowed, co-educational, nonsectarian institution. The Department offers the undergraduate degree in communicative sciences and disorders and the graduate degree in speech-language pathology.  The graduate program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a 12-month faculty position requiring the provision of clinical instruction to graduate and undergraduate students, placement and monitoring of graduate students at extern clinical sites undergraduate teaching and service to the department and the university.  Interest in child speech and language disorders is desired. Commitment to student development is required. Participation in research and other scholarly activities is encouraged


Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for Virginia licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
