Description

Will provide secretarial and clerical support to the Department of Architecture.  Requires technical typing of reports, exams, memos, etc., in support of faculty members, as well as management of centralized student records.  Requires ability to grasp, understand and coordinate the department’s activities with other university departments, including the University Registrar, Business Office, Graduate College and the School of Engineering & Technology.  Requires the ability to manage and monitor student travel accounts and to assist faculty in arranging travel for academic purposes.  The successful candidate may also schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences.

Requirements

Successful candidate must have previous professional experience, proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suites, including Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and social networking media; excellent communication skills both oral and written, high energy and a commitment to accomplishment.  The ability to work effectively and simultaneously on multiple tasks and must demonstrate excellent organizational skills. The ability to excel in a team-oriented environment, interface well with all levels of personnel and management and have the ability to work effectively under pressure.
