The 2011 High School Student Leadership Summit will be held November 18-20 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Hampton.
Entitled "Leaders are Relevant," this event will be covered LIVE on Twitter. Follow us @HULeadersSummit
High school seniors are encouraged to attend this event, which will examine issues related to the 2012 Presidential Election (Registration details below).
In addition to discussing relevant political issues, participants will be exposed to training in the following:
- Adapting to change in leadership
- Adjusting to adversity
- Leadership efficiency
- Finding and developing the leader within
- Construction of a strategic plan for self-leadership
All activities will be chaperoned.
(Optional) Students who wish to demonstrate an awareness of relevant issues can enter an essay contest. The winners and prizes will be announced during the Summit. Submit answers to these questions.
1). How important is the state of the economy, and what should the next president do regarding this issue?
2). What are your positions on the environment and sustainable energy as they relate to the future of the nation?
3). Give an analysis of the impact of social media on the spread of democracy throughout the world.

Registration Fee: $250.00
This includes 2 nights hotel accomodations, all
meals, workshop materials, and leadership training.
