The Cook, Dixon & Young Performance
at HU Has Been Cancelled.

The scheduled performance of Cook, Dixon & Young, formerly of the Three Mo’ Tenors, on Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. at Hampton University’s Ogden Hall has been cancelled.   Please contact the HU Convocation Center at (757) 726-6800 or any Ticketmaster location for information on ticket refunds.

Hampton, VA - Cook, Dixon & Young is an entertaining, theatrically staged concert for all of the family.  Critically acclaimed tenors Victor Trent Cook, Rodrick Dixon and Thomas Young take you on a fantastic, memorable and awe-inspiring musical journey through the worlds of opera, Broadway, jazz, blues, soul, spiritual, gospel and spoken word.

“Their performance embraces almost all styles of music.  Every person can enjoy Cook, Dixon & Young,” said Dr. Sheila Maye, chair of the HU Department of Music.

Cook, a native New Yorker, began singing at the age of three. Cook has performed in a number of Broadway and off-Broadway productions, most notably for his 1995

Tony Award-nominated role in “Smokey Joe’s Café.” As a soloist, Cook has appeared at The White House, John F. Kennedy Center, Avery Fisher Hall and Boston Symphony Hall with conductors including Zubin Mehta, Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa.

Dixon has appeared on the stage and in concert in a variety of roles including the TODI Music Festival in Portsmouth, Va.  He has also appeared as a concert soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, The Denver Orchestra and the Corncordia Orchestra.

Young, a Grammy-award winning lyric tenor, has appeared as a principal soloist in the major concert halls and opera houses of nearly 20 countries and serves as a tenured professor of Music at Sarah Lawrence College. He has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra, The Brooklyn Philharmonic, the St. Louis Symphony and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.
