Media, Medical and Museum Professionals to Address Youth at Links, Inc. Event
Hampton, VA - The African Americans of Achievement in Hampton Roads: Different Roads to Success event is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Hampton University Museum. A "You Can Do It, Too," children's program will feature individuals from varied occupations to talk about their path to success.
A Washington D.C. press secretary, a medical supply company chief executive officer, and a museum director are among the professions to be represented. The Tidewater Chapter of The Links, Inc., is sponsoring the program. The Links, an all women's organization founded in 1946, is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations, according to its website. The non-profit is committed to enriching and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African-Americans.
