HU Files Suit Against ACPE

Hampton, VA - Hampton University has filed suit in federal court against the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) following the University’s Doctor of Pharmacy program placement in a probationary status.

A copy of Hampton University’s complaint, which includes more details on the dispute and the reasons for seeking judicial relief, can be found at http://pharm.hamptonu.edu/docs/pdf/hampton_university_complaint.pdf.

The HU School of Pharmacy became fully accredited in June 2002. Until January 2009, the School has never been on probation.

The School remains accredited and Hampton University strongly disagrees with ACPE’s determination. For an explanation of probationary status, consult the office of the dean at 757.728.6727.
