HU Receives $100,000 from Prudential

Hampton, VA - The Hampton University School of Business has received a $100,000 donation from Prudential Financial. The award was provided to the School to enhance building facilities and provide advanced video conferencing capabilities.

“Our goal is to be capable of beaming in lectures from corporate executives from Prudential and around the corporate world,” said Dr. Sid H. Credle, dean of the HU School of Business.

“The donation is part of our ongoing commitment to recognize and develop a pipeline of talent from Hampton," stated Cheryl Reese, vice president of diversity at Prudential Financial. “Since the inception of our partnership, Prudential has hired several Hampton business students and we are proud of the contributions they have made to the growth of the company."

Work will begin this summer to improve a classroom in HU’s Buckman Hall into an electronically enhanced classroom.
