FREE HEALTH
SCREENINGS AT HU
NURSING CENTER
Hampton, VA - Hampton
University Nursing Center will celebrate National
Women’s Health
Week by offering free women’s health screenings at HU Nursing
Center on Wednesday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They will conduct free screenings for diabetes, cholesterol and blood
pressure for women in the community.
“By stopping by the HU Nursing Center you
can take the first step to prevent diabetes, high cholesterol and
high blood pressure through early screenings and health education,” said
Darylnet Lyttle, assistant professor and director of the HU Nursing
Center.
This is the third year that HU is celebrating National
Women’s Health
Week. HU is very eager to provide the free services to promote and encourage
a healthier society. “Through health, we can prevent health disparities
among women and minorities,” said Lyttle.
The HU Nursing Center is located at 1006 Settlers
Landing Rd., Suite G, directly above the HU Bookstore
and next to Burger King. Please keep in mind that the entrance is in the
