HU Participates in Private College Week
Hampton, VA -Hampton University will participate in Virginia Private College Week July 27 – August 1. Students are invited to take tours of HU and get information about admissions, financial aid, and academic programs. HU, along with other participating schools in the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICVA), will host informational sessions about the quality and affordability of Virginia’s private colleges. During this week, students who attend three or more participating colleges will receive an application fee waiver for three Virginia private colleges.
“We invite students and their families to visit Hampton University to discover the added value experiences that go along with attending a private college,” said Angela Nixon Boyd, HU Director of Admissions.
Students are also invited to visit the HU Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications on Friday, July 31 for a Meet and Greet anytime between 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Students interested in studying journalism and communications will take a tour of the school and meet faculty and students. In addition, there will be representatives on hand to provide information about financial assistance and scholarships.
