HU Museum Presents Holiday and Kwanzaa Marketplace

Hampton, VA - The Hampton University Museum will present the 12th Annual Holiday and Kwanzaa Marketplace on Dec. 7 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Holiday and Kwanzaa gift items will be on sale in the Museum Gift Shop.

Music will be provided by the Crusader's Male Chorus. The Crusader's were organized in 1939 by the late Charles H. Flax and is currently directed by Joan Wickham. Families may also take Kwanzaa or holiday photographs. Portrait packages will be sold for $24.95.

Guests to the event are encouraged to bring an item of new or gently worn clothing. The clothing received will be donated to HIV positive women in Kenya and to Transitions, a local shelter for women and children.

The members of the Newport News Chapter of The Links, Inc. will serve as hostesses for the event and the Center for African American History and the Children's Curiosity Room will be open to all visitors.
