Business Honor Society Makes Sure All Have a Good Pair
Students from the Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society wanted to get involved and serve this semester and they found the perfect outlet on Dosomething.org.
While working with Aeropostle Inc. and Dosomething.org the students collected 584 pairs of jeans for the “Teens for Jeans” campaign.
The campaign worked to raise awareness in the community about the growing number of homeless teens living in the United States and Canada. Teens nationwide were asked to donate jeans to this cause from Jan. 25-Feb. 14.
“This was our first time doing a project as successful as this one,” stated JaVahn Hill, senior, five-year MBA major and community event chairperson.“We're looking forward to doing it again next year.”
About 15 business majors, members of the honor society and other students in the five-year MBA program helped to collect the jeans in the dorms and at the Student Center.
To become a member of the Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society, students must have a 3.4 GPA.
